Technician I

Position Description:

• Field and laboratory technicians with a desire to learn and participate in the consulting arena. Typical work assignments include:
• Performance of soils tests in the field and in the lab
• Performance of concrete test in the field and in the lab
• Performance of asphalt tests in the field and in the lab

Must have a vehicle in good working condition to travel to local job sites. The ability to travel to remote project sites for overnight stays may be required.

Candidate must have good written and communication skills and the ability to think on his/her feet. A professional demeanor and a desire to excel a plus. The candidate will report to the New Construction Services Manager.

Experience Required:

• No experience required. Related work in the construction industry a plus.

Skill Requirements:

• The ability to listen, follow instructions, take accurate notes and report on observations with clarity. In addition, computer literacy and problem solving skills a plus. Training to be provided.
• Exposure to MS Office software a plus.

Salary Range :

• $9.00 – 12.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and training, on an hourly basis with overtime opportunities. Opportunity to advance to other positions upon satisfactory performance of job duties. No additional Benefits.
