

Geotechnical Engineer III
Position Description:
Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 12 years experience in the performance of geotechnical explorations and related project work. Typical work assignments include:
- Reviewing Proposals for complex projects
- Reviewing Field and Lab Data
- Reviewing Reports
- Execution of Marketing Strategies
- Implementing QA and QC procedures
- Oversight of Lab Operations
- Mentoring Geotechnical Engineers and Field Technicians
Typical clients include federal (Dept of Defense, Corps of Engineers), state (Dept of Transportation, universities) local governments and municipalities, as well as private entities (real estate developers, commercial entities). Candidate must have good written and communication skills and the ability to think on his/her feet. The candidate will report to the New Construction Services Manager.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 12 years of direct related experience. Graduation from an ABET accredited school of engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer within the state in which established. Graduate degree a plus.
Skill Requirements:
- The ability to communicate with other professionals and clients both verbally and in writing. The ability to lead other geotechnical professionals in the development of their careers, and to contribute to the overall sound operation of the New Construction Services Group.
- Experience in the use of all MS Office software an imperative. Proven experience with gInt, slope stability and other related software packages an imperative.
Salary Range :
- $40,000-$50,000, annually, commensurate with experience and training, on salaried basis, with opportunity to advance to other positions upon satisfactory performance of job duties. Benefits, such as medical insurance commensurate with industry standards.
