Geotechnical Engineer I
Position Description:
Typical clients include federal (Dept of Defense, Corps of Engineers), state (Dept of Transportation, universities) local governments and municipalities, as well as private entities (real estate developers, commercial entities). Candidate must have good written and communication skills and the ability to think on his/her feet. The candidate will report to the Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager.
Experience Required:
Graduation from an ABET accredited school of engineering with the ability to become a licensed Professional Engineer an imperative. Emphasis on soils and foundation class-work a plus. Graduate degree a plus. Internships or other related experience a plus.
Skill Requirements:
The ability to listen, follow instructions, take accurate notes and report on observations with clarity. In addition, this position requires computer literacy and problem solving skills.
